Our clinic is dedicated to implant dentistry and missing teeth solutions. We’re leading providers of dental implants in Dorchester and have noteworthy accolades and experience in custom prosthodontics and providing long-lasting results for patients who have lost a tooth.
Our Clinical Director and Dental Surgeon, Philip McCauley, has been placing and restoring dental implants since 2002.
Philip is a field leader and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. In recent years, he has given lectures to local dentists on simple restorative implant cases and will soon be coordinating the set-up of a ‘study club’ for dentists on more challenging restorative cases.
Philip carries out all aspects of implant dentistry, including single-tooth implants, multiple implant cases, full arch dental implants bone regeneration and bone grafting. He also has a special interest in the field of immediate loading of dental implants.
Having originally graduated from the Dental School at Queen’s University Belfast in 1999, Philip spent a year in general practice before he became the Senior House Officer in the Oral Surgery department at Poole Hospital. There he gained invaluable experience in dentoalveolar surgery before gaining his Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) in May 2001.
Philip has completed many post-graduate courses, notably the one-year restorative course with Michael Wise in 2004.
Philip is committed to remaining at the forefront of implant dentistry and keeping up-to-date with advances in the field.
As the Director of Dorset Dental Implants, Kayley McCauley champions high-quality patient care, as well as our locally-centred and eco-friendly ethos.
Trained alongside King’s College London students at Portsmouth Dental Academy in 2006, Kayley attained a BSc (Hons) degree in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy.
After graduating she worked for a number of private dental practices in London before returning to her hometown of Poole where she accepted a position with Poole Hospital NHS Trust, treating head and neck oncology patients in the maxillofacial department.
Kayley went on to set up Dorset Dental Implants with her husband, Philip, and she continues to grow her knowledge in the field of dental implants by supporting the ADI Team Congress and EAO (European Association for Osseointegration) Congress. She is also a member of the British Society of Periodontology and keeps up to date with the latest research in dental hygiene.
Miriam has a wealth of experience in both dentistry and general healthcare. After working alongside dental implant surgeons for around eight and a half years, she joined the team here as our Lead Dental Nurse and has been instrumental in helping us move forward with her positive work attitude.
Having moved to the UK from Slovakia in 2002, Miriam has always worked in the healthcare industry. She’d already achieved NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care, but it was in 2008 that she attained her NVQ 3 in Dental Nursing. Since then Miriam’s thirst for learning has seen her achieve qualifications in Radiography, Oral Health Education and Orthodontic Therapy.
“I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of my job. I have a wide range of experience and I am always trying to improve and better myself professionally. My favourite part is meeting the patients and understanding how to better improve their care.”
