Upon your arrival, we ask each of our patients to disclose personal information, which includes your medical history so that we can provide you with the safest treatments that prioritise your well-being.

During your appointment, you will be given ample time to discuss any fears, concerns or phobias you may have about your upcoming treatment. See what treatment with us is like.

You can trust that our dentists will listen to any issues in confidence and will use this session to get to know you better to provide a more tailored, personal service.

Dr Philip McCauley will discuss any treatment preferences you might have, including the concerns with your smile, or further requirements you may need during your procedures like sedation.

If you are completely happy with your smile – that’s ok. Our dental team will be able to create a custom plan that will help you to look after and maintain it.

During your examination or consultation, the dentists will then thoroughly analyse the mouth for any underlying threatening conditions and check for any diseases or infections.

This may include taking scans or x-rays.

  • nitial consultation: After filling out a medical history form, the implantologist will assess the oral condition by taking digital photographs, impressions and X-rays, if necessary. After looking over the findings, we will then put together a plan for the issues that might need addressing before treatment. Patients with good oral health can expect the all-clear to continue with the procedure.
  • Treatment plan: After we have exposed any dental threats, concerns or issues, we will then be able to highlight the most suitable treatment options available. Here, we will detail a complete treatment plan, which will include costs, treatment options and stages. We will not require a decision from the patient on the day, we encourage our patients to consider their options and take the time to better decide if they wish to proceed.
  • The procedure: Once your treatment plan has been agreed upon, the dentist will then proceed with the treatment. The procedure can be completed on the first appointment if the time permits.
  • Aftercare: Dorset Dental Implant clinic is with you every step of the way – and the aftercare stage of the treatment is the most important. Patients can expect to attend follow-up treatments, which are often already included in their plan. Here, we will ensure that your oral health is up to standard and is stable enough to support your implants.
  • Payment: The cost of the procedure is tailored to suit you and your budget. Here, at Dorset Dental Implants we understand every patient’s finances are unique – that’s why we’re committed to creating a payment plan that works for you. Dental implant payments can be made in stages and spread out throughout the treatment.
