Trios Move

One of the most essential benefits of TRIOS® and intraoral scanners, in general, is improving the patient experience.

We have all been to the dentist at one time or another and needed to take an impression. It’s not fun. The ability to offer digital impressions instead has substantially benefited both our practice and you, the patient.

Taking digital impressions is more comfortable for patients. It is so much faster to scan a mouth digitally. This means the time goes by much quicker, and there’s no plastic gooey mess.

Intraoral scanning with TRIOS® is high-speed. Even compared to the market’s other intraoral scanners.

The accuracy also cuts down on the need for remakes. So visits are quicker, and you don’t have to come back for adjustments.

Another exciting benefit when working with 3D digital colour impressions is that we now have your mouth on the big screen. We can show you what is going on in your mouth and ‘try out’ different smiles to see what you prefer the most.

CBCT Scanner

Dental X-rays help dentists visualise diseases of the teeth and surrounding tissue that cannot be seen with a simple oral exam.

In addition, X-rays help the dentist find and treat dental problems early in their development. This can potentially save you money, unnecessary discomfort, and maybe even your life.

The frequency of getting X-rays of your teeth often depends on your medical and dental history and current condition.

Some people may need X-rays as often as every six months; others with no recent dental or gum disease and who visit their dentist regularly may get X-rays only every couple of years.

A CT scan is an x-ray image of your teeth, jaws and surrounding vital structures. It shows, in high resolution and precise details, structures not visible with traditional X-rays.

With a 3D CT scan, we can assess your case; determine if you are suitable for dental implants; determine the quantity and quality of bone; judge whether bone grafting will be necessary and plan precisely where to place the implants.

Weld One Machine

The WeldOne Dental Implant system allows us to deliver a bespoke Same Day Teeth Replacement Service.

This revolutionary new technique is mostly used for whole jaw new teeth (full arch), although it is also suitable for partial jaw treatments.

The components of the WeldOne system are tailored for the individual, making the base frame incredibly stable. These are crafted at our on-site dental laboratory (Dorset Dental Laboratory) by our fabulous Laboratory Director, Emily Whitmarsh, and the new teeth are placed on the same day by Dr Philip McCauley.

The old way, to spend months coping with temporary teeth before transitioning to the permanent set, has been replaced.

EMS Airflow

We offer all patients EMS Airflow as a standard for all hygiene and check-up appointments, this is because we believe every patient should have access to pain-free, comfortable dentistry without paying a premium fee for it.

The Airflow is a minimally invasive technique that is backed by scientific research.

In a nutshell, it essentially uses warm water and anti-bacterial powder to remove biofilm and plaque, which means no more hand or machine scaling and a much more comfortable time for you, the patient.

So what are the benefits exactly?

  1. It is safe, effective and gentle to teeth, soft tissue and implants
  2. Can be used on adults and children alike
  3. Uses a disclosing agent to make sure the hygiene therapist can remove all biofilm not visible to the naked eye as well as the obvious stains
  4. Minimally invasive  – great if you’re at all nervous about dental treatment
  5. Proven to help preserve your oral health
